Nick Catsburg joins spdoRacing

Dutchman Nick Catsburg, who has competed against former spdo team member Valtteri Bottas in the Formula Renault 2.0 Northern European Cup for the past two years, joined spdoRacing on Saturday afternoon, to bring the size of the Team's roster up to 16 drivers.

Catsburg, 20 years old, has been active in Live for Speed for a number of months, racing a variety of cars and claiming several world records for himself.

Josh Di Fabio said: "Typically for such a quick driver, a number of teams approached Nick and so we're pleased he decided to join us. As is often the case, Patrick has been key to making this happen, so we're very grateful to have him in the team 'managing' our recruitments!"

Patrick Schuelter also expressed his delight at the signing, while making clear that he expects more signings in 2009.

"Nick has been improving all the time lately. He can drive lots of different cars quickly, and he's a fun guy to be around. I'm certain that when his time is available he'll do great for spdo.

"As always, we're going to continue to try and sign fast new drivers when there's the chance."
